When you were raising me you had to work full time and managed to go to nursing school. I remember the nights at the dining room table where you would study for hours. I would ask you the questions for your upcoming tests, which you passed with flying colors! And the party I had for you when you graduated, what a joyous day!!! You were my role model and I was so proud of you. Being a wife, raising babies, starting my bed and breakfast with you as my right hand, gardening, horses, mules, raising puppies and life in the country. To this day I still laugh when I think of you sitting in the back of the pickup helping me round up the horses with a bucket of pellets in your lap, bouncing along for dear life. You would always say you were a city girl; always ready with your pocketbook in case there was a Nordstrom's Rack nearby (wasn’t one for hundreds of miles)! You are such a good sport; always willing to try something new! Thank you. Now, I am a grandma and the joy you and I share in the love and joy of watching the next generation grow is truly a blessing and a gift from God. It so special we get to do this together. You continue to cheer me on, always have my back, no matter what, and walk next to me on this journey and adventure we call life. Thank you. All I can say Mom is that I love you with all my heart because thank you just isn't enough. © High Prairie Life 2017
